Anyone have access to the torque specs for these T30 water manifold screws? Looking at T30 screws the max torque is 31.1 - 37.4 Nm (23 to 25 ft/lbs) which feels way too much.

If you don't find a factory torque spec, look for a spec for the thread size in ALUMINUM, don't even worry about the screw, it's not the limiting factor...

M6

Guy on the other forum posted the factory manual spec at 7 ft/lbs. SDG had 10 ft/lbs when installing their billet manifolds. I went with 10.

Bringing this back to life. Planning on re-assembly tomorrow. @16GoManGoHC2 you suggested I use SS button head bolts instead of the plastic push pins on the FI spacers? Do you remember size and thread pitch? I think that's the only thing I don't have sourced.
Mike confirmed these are M8x20mm figured I'd mention it for anyone following a long. I couldn't find them at the big box hw stores so I had to go to Ace. $1.60 each (!) and I needed 4.

I doubt I'd have gotten it if I could have. There's a limit on this motor and I'm gonna be pushing it as is I "think".

You just pulley up, less restriction. 2.85/10% about the limit but some tuners are saying 2.75/10%

I'll be good where I'm at for what I wanna do. 9.30 to 9.50 at close to 150mph in a car I can drive to the grocery store is good enough for me. I've got some people in the "know" and they told me point blank a 2.85 is the limit on a 2.7L if you want it to last. They would know if you know what I mean.

On the motor I've heard 850rwhp. More than that and you're on borrowed time. I think E85 stretches that a bit due to the cooling so I'm not wanting more than 900 - 925 wheel to keep it on the safe side of things. I don't need another "event" :sneaky:

2.7L Efficiency Chart from SDG for those interested. Of note is the text at the bottom which my attention was drawn to.
