My open trailer was a Suretrack with the diamond plate deck. Towed smooth behind the 1500. The ramp angle was a little steep so we had jack it up some so the splitter would clear.
Last I looked, it's now $8,900.
yeah thats why im not looking at suretrac, the angle is steep. The one im looking at is tilt and its a kwik load. Very nice angle.

It's a nice and well built trailer. My friend Scott bought it. He brought his SRT8 Challenger to MRI on it.

Thanks, David. I've seen those.

But in my case I'd have space the door up about eight inches, which they do make parts for. Then the ramps would need spacers, like yours has, except taller.

Not hard to do, but that would mean four separate contact points (two per side) which isn't ideal on uneven ground.
I think I'll pursue the clunky 8x8 approach.

I like my setup. I called Bryan and said, fix this. I dropped it off and picked it back up. Fixed. No lugging around wood. No shit hitting my car in the trailer. All I have to do is unfasten them and flip them over. Done!

I also like it, but your trailer is quite a bit lower than mine, so the door needs to be spaced up much more. As do the ramps.

And don't forget that I don't have four paying passengers to kick out, making the car about an inch taller.

Stock Charger is lower than a stock Challenger.

Is the approach angle about the same though?

Nope. Challenger is higher.

Do you have actual numbers for the Challenger? I think I measured mine to about 10 degrees, but it'd be nice to know what it really is.

I have a little trailer experience. Rule number one…. Never load or unload the car without using a winch. Driving the car in/on or out/off is stupid. You won’t understand this until you have used a winch with remote. That is all 🥸

Not sure why you're saying that.

I've probably loaded and unloaded vehicles on and in trailers some 500 times, at least. Maybe closer to double that.
So far they've been driven both ways (except for when loading non-runners with pallet forks or a crane).
Proof positive that I'm as stupid as some say, I suppose.

Also, I won't even try to guess how many times I've used a winch. For all kinds of things, but as far as I can recall, never to load a vehicle on a trailer.

Then again, I am in the process of putting a winch on the 32-foot flatbed. That's because while I can get a non-runner up on it here at home in several ways, going to get something somewhere else is a different story.

For example, if I have to go get one of my girlfriend's cars, undriveable after a collision with an elk or something, I want that vehicle up on the trailer asap, and get everything off the 2-lane road quickly. Then it'll be nice to have a winch.

Where do you hook up your cable to the car?

I have a hook-up welded to the front bumper but you can wrap the cradle underneath if you wanna be ghetto 😝 3B278B61-ED4E-4BD3-9FA6-0E068C0D63D7.jpeg

You have to have a hook especially on a Charger. You can’t hook up to the cradle without removing the pan and the the cable will damage the splitter and bumper either way.

Lol. You’re right. I forgot about the plastic pan under there closing everything up. I haven’t worked on a car that had any of that stuff anymore.

Im jelly, but you gotta piss with the cock you’re given. Going to see the trailer on Saturday. Its a 20’ Sloan KwikLoad rollback, full epoxy coated, 9k wireless winch. Comes with tire covers and a tire rack. Previous owner would take his Corvettes to watkins glen with it. Weighs 2150, has a GVWR of 7000. Thats more than enough for the cat. All the other shit can go in my flatbed. Winch battery is wired to charge from the 7 pin.

fronts yes for winching up, gonna order those for sure, for tie downs im thinking that i dont want that hook on that small ear pulling on my aluminum aad suspension…

an example of a kwikload 18’ with a mopar, no doubt in my mind now that it will have plenty of room with the 20 and the rock guard is nice too
