I have not done it yet but, I think it should as my 2019 does not have any Uconnect issues and has the same hardware as this modification.

After looking at the comments on the other "Hellcat" forum. This upgrade will not correct the Uconnect 3G problems that prevent remote access or vehicle location services. Turns out the shark fin antenna is 3G technology. This is the statement from the OP in the other forum " the only functions that don't work are those which require a Uconnect subscription. From a technical perspective, Sirius Gaurdian tells me that anyone with a 2016 model can no longer activate or renew a subscription. Thus, I would be surprised if any 2016 models have an active subscription at this point.'

I never subscribe to any of those services so I cant test it. Wifi hot spot works which was a surprise since I didn't think I had that on the old unit.

I find this strange as my 2019 has SiriusXM Gaurdian and my 2015 has Uconnect both with active subscriptions. I would think after the modification I could active a SiriusXM Guardian subscription for the 2015. Just thinking out loud.

Had a thought and between the two resources, have yet to see if this change enables the display of horsepower on the large UConnect screen to be able to accept modification of rating. 2018 and up have the ability for speed shops to change what shows on output when drive modes are elected to more than 707, etc.....

That's specific to the calibration (tune) in the car. 2018 and up it's an editable field. In my 2016 cal there is no field for that. Short answer, this new Uconnect won't enable that in pre 2018.

Nothing to do with the radio. It's in the cars tune. Those screen shots are from HPTuners.

I guess this is the same reason line lock won't show up in the race options, even though we know the Burnbox can make it happen.

There are so many computers in these cars I'm honestly not sure where each option comes from. I believe "most" of those features are stored in the BCM and perhaps with a tool like AlphaOBD they could be enabled, but I have no experience there.

I have a AlphaOBD and associated software. I've made a couple changes to my BCM on both cars. Let me look in to it.

Assuming there is some "function" to load software from a USB or SD card and you can simply select the file to be loaded, theoretically you could load any version you want.

FWIW, this is the software version that I loaded with a USB drive some time ago. The IAT matches. ('16 M6)

So yours is wrong in both places, 1st time I've seen that !
I believe I'm on that same software level, mine was applied as an OTA update.

I believe that's the most current one when I checked the Uconnect update site, today. Are your IATs in agreement?
