@Jimmy N. you do get to leave the farm! Hope you had fun :)
It was great fun. Did it almost on a whim after getting an email offering 25% off.

Of course, I knew I wanted to go back at some point - while they still have Challengers. No way would I enjoy it nearly as much if driving some oversized converted EV. They hadn't tracked one yet so I don't know how they compare, but the mechanics weren't fond of them. DSCN0395.JPG

I tried clay baring the windshield, that didn't help at all.
I took a light, a big magnifying glass and after i couldn't scrape it off, i determined with the corner of the razor blade it's a bunch of tiny pit's.
So i made an apt. with Safe lite to come out and replace it.

My HC is fine, mostly, but my 2 other vehicles that are at ~40K+ both need new windshields (Colorado roads are famous for pitting glass). But getting O.E. windshields is expensive.

I noticed my last 2 RAM1500 while each was only 3 yrs old...they both had over 130k..on the odometer..with substantial pitting...

I read about a few on here using clay bar. My car has always felt like it had sand in the paint. Said to myself, there's no way a piece of clay is going to get that out after all the times i have washed it an it's still there. I picked some up anyway when i saw it. Today i clay bared the entire car, (it was the worse on the hood, roof, trunk.) Sides were not as bad, but could still feel some on the sides as well. Low and behold it was much easier than i thought it would be. It"s slick as a baby's bottom now.
I think it even shines more, an i have not even waxed it yet.
Clay bars work very well. I have been using a synthetic clay bar by Griots for awhile now
