Yesterday I enjoyed a rare day off work
Decided to pull the cover off & start the car up
I did the push the brake & nail the gas pedal to the floor deal since the car has been sitting a long while
The engine turned over for about 10 seconds
I let it sit for about 15 more minutes while I enjoyed a frosty cold beer
Then I remote started it
It ran about 30 seconds & shut off ( Uh Oh )
I get in & see low fuel warning
The car automatically shut down sensing the low fuel
Your learn something new every day

I m not sure what level of fuel would trigger that
I knew it was low but wow
My DD"S dont do that...they just run outta gas on the thruway

Hi everyone! My wheel supplier told me the custom wheels I ordered have an ET value of -4.5. For friends who have the original version of these wheels, is the ET number stamped on the wheel itself actually -4.5? I'm concerned because my stock wheels have an ET of -2.5, so I'm worried they might not fit properly. Thanks! (I don't know the official name of this wheel model, but they look like this – I'll attach pictures below.) View attachment 170867
I doubt it;s gonna be a problem...just watch for bricks in the road....:p:p:p;)

Invented what I will call the Flash Brace. Since the connection btw the OBD & By-Pass is so scary loose, the gallon container is just about right for bracing it while I flashed it back to street brains.

Ordered new belts for the M6. Car was built Dec '19 so 5+ years should be the right time. Took @16GoManGoHC2 's advice and got the Dayco SC, but the correct length for my car. (I hope!!!) Ordered the Dayco serpentine also.

Even with shipping Rockauto beats everyone!

Deaf people, who can't hear the exhaust.

Besides, that's only about $13K more than I paid for the TRX...and it doesn't even have a turbo.

Miles on your car?
18k, but belts are like tires, time matters more than miles.

Replaced belts. Serpentine looked worn but not awful. SC belt looked much better, but had one obvious crack. I'm ok changing every 5 or so years.

I'm just shy of 10 years on mine, but only just over 8k miles.

I'll have to check and see for dry rot or cracks etc.

If it drove it and were trying to make boost you would change it more. 2 years about the limit

Don't look, just do it! ;) Easy, unless you have fat arms!

Cheap and easy! What's not to like? :)

This weekend reminded me why I love Driving my Hellcat Charger so much.

It’s not just the power or the sound—it’s the way it connects people.

Strangers catching up just to smile, giving me a thumbs-up, sharing a moment of Joy.

It feels like I’m part of something bigger… like I’m carrying a little celebration with me wherever I go.

Grateful for every smile, every nod, every shared moment on the road.

Took my grandkids for a ride this weekend, and nothing beats hearing my youngest granddaughter giggle and shout, “Do that again, Grammy!” after a quick tap on the pedal. (She is just like her Aunt Katelyn)
I’m not flying down the road—just letting the Super Charger and AWE exhaust sing a little—and somehow, it turns into a moment they’ll never forget.
It’s not about horsepower… it’s about heart..........Nah Love the Horsepower is just awesome!:cool::cool:

The Hellcat might be mine for now… but my grandsons are already plotting, the youngest Granson is really hoping one day it will be his.

They talk about driving it like it’s their destiny.

So, I give them a taste—a quick quarter-mile burst, just enough to feel the rumble and hear that AWE exhaust sing.

Their smiles say it all.:love::love:

But I tell them, “One day, maybe… if you earn it.”

Because this ride isn’t just fast—it’s family-powered, and that makes it priceless.:cool::cool:

Very well said, Linda. This is the reason I put many more miles on my car than the average. It almost feels like a responsibility to take it out and spread the joy. There is rarely a trip out in the hellcat that doesn't result in at least one interaction, whether a quick thumbs up as you mentioned or a full blown conversation at a gas station, which I rarely pass.

I roadtripped my hellcat 5 hours to PA and back with my friend for some racing back in May and my friend was absolutely blown away at what the attention level was like when driving it. People filming on the highway, dozens of thumbs up or waves, countless more quiet smiles. I told him you almost have to see it to believe it. I told him I'm not a celebrity, the car is.

The car represents way more to many folks than I ever realized and being able to pilot it, especially at my young age is really a priviledge. It's why instead of selling it with a blown motor back in 2023, I chose to bite the financial bullet and rebuild it. These cars have a soul and I couldn't leave mine like that.

My daughter wouldn't have let me either. Like your grandkids, a burp on the gas pedal and a little shove back into the seat is all it takes to get her howling. How lucky she is, how lucky we both are to grow up in an American icon, one that means so much to many.
