I ignore you for good reasons…

“I really dont understand the whole "ALL season tire" thing with a Hellcat. If ur putting all season tires on ur Hellcat u bought the wrong car.”

We are talking about tires to put on a Durango.
So strange the same things have happened to us for decades now? Yep they pulled me over in my ‘78 going 76 mph after I saw the movie. I had a ‘75, ‘78 (built up that 400), and ashamed to say a ‘82. Therefore like I did… get the new tires and be happy. Mine has a few 100 miles on it now and I have looked close at the fronts. All seems fine. The exposed stuff seemed to happen to those tires fast when I was not looking it was very strange.
Takin advice from the membership here..(and other knowledgeable car guys)..I have decided to replace the tires on my "16" HC...not from wear..(2400 miles).but from age....3 months into ownership I went to Triumph wheels..and Nitto DR's on the back..and nitto streets on the front..(I don't race it so hooking up was never an issue)..I enjoy the smoke shows on the street with the M6...we put the car up on the lift..and did a thorough tire inspection...I could see no signs of uneven wear...cracking..dry rot...nothing ...my buddy said yer crazy...these tires are like new...regardless the car goes in next Monday for new sneakers... I told my buddy he can HAVE the old tires for his Mustang...(it's only a Ford)...regardless of any visible deficiencies or compromises in the tires...I'm ok with the decision...have no desire for a high speed blow out with the aged tires....or any other kind of flat...

Here is a thing you can do to make yourself feel better about it, poke your thumbnail into the tread of the old versus new tires, I bet you can feel a significant difference in hardness between the tires, with the new tires being much softer.

Be it a motorcycle or car ..I'm anal about the integrity of tires...(moreso on bikes)...
