Super high end parts can get super expensive. Best example I can think of just off hand are the hardened “custom age” ARP cylinder head studs at $2,000. 😬 Todays race T400 trans with a billet converter can cost $20k. I don’t know what that guy got in that “2000hp” six speed but when it comes to special race parts…. nothing would surprise me anymore.

we know the cost is 6-7k for the build of what he got that Gforce said was not available and some how he ended up with one. So he could have over paid for one from someone or Gforce at an inflated price plus shipping. Not on near the same level but there is a driveshaft company that you can pay an expedited fee and they will build a custom shaft to your specs in less that 48 hours and will over night it to you. It was almost the same cost as the driveshaft to be built.
You can get anything as long as you are willing to pay.
