They are being built in the U.S. so no tariffs and they no longer have to buy any carbon credits from Elon or have a gas guzzler tax added.

The Hemi Durango’s are now the bargain deal in the entire lineup.

So interesting in the pricing. How are they offering the Durango for less money with a V8 in 2026 with tariffs and the rest? Does that mean the 2023s and 2024s were just way over priced?

I guess no one with realistic expectations should be surprised by this. They were forced into abandoning the Hemi unitl T got elected, the other T was fired, and they were able to start turning away from the iceberg. The cupboard was BARE. They cant put any V8 into that Charger without some time to R&D it, make sure it works and then crash testing it and running it through federal certifications etc. That takes a lot more time than you think. Also, people hoping for 2021 pricing are dreaming. Cumulative inflation under prez autopen was nearly 20% That makes a $70k car $90k without anything else changing. MFRs, especially ones that are fighting for their lives cant cut that much. Its a better lineup than they had for the last 2 years which will hopefully keep them from totally drowning.

I dont know why they didnt offer a redeye option for the Durango though...That shouldnt have been a heavy lift unless the parts/mfr line just isnt there because of the Trade shit going on with mexico and there were no engines to stockpile.

Id guess 2027/28 is when we may see something significant (cuda, viper?) weve been hoping for, thats if they can stay in business. Not sure though, Even if the hurricant engine is stable and reliable, in that big ass boat its still nearly .5 sec slower in the 1/4 than my 1320 was. I just cant see wanting a car THAT F'n BIG.

Yes they were way overpriced because of all the last call nonsense.

Durangos are built in the U.S. but the big money was going to Elon in the form of carbon credits and then there was also a gas guzzler tax added.

The V8 Durango’s are now the best deal in the Stellantis lineup.

New Durango gets built in Detroit so Tarrifs dont matter. Likely the last 2 years the price was inflated by Tavares to make more $ and to "discourage" people from buying gas cars and push them toward EVs. and no more carbon credits to buy.

It doesn’t appear to be over to me. If you look at the video during the Charger release there was 4 cars still under covers. No one mentioned it but they are covered for a reason. I kinda doubt they are all Chargers being covered but who knows.

Torque limited drive train, they already had to detune the base HC plant.

Although some of the durability parts/enhancements would be nice.

Yes. People have to realize what a mess he stepped into. He had to sit down with his people and find out what capabilities they still had and timelines and put together whatever he could. Honestly, I am kind of impressed.

My buddy's 2021 R/T with Tow and Go has all SRT features, but a 5.7L motor.
