I have been working with Milodon over the last month to develop a front sump oil pan for the 6.2 platform that will fix the oil pressure drop on the hit for the guys racing their cars/suvs. We tested the oil pan this past weekend and it worked great. No oil pressure loss from the hit through the complete 1/4 mile run and we had very little oil residue in the catch can. This pan kit will also include a windage tray that helps keep the oil from accumulating in the top end of the engine and allows it to flow back to the bottom of the pan, this will help keep the catch cans from filling up with oil. This oil pan kit has trap doors in the front sump to keep the oil contained around the pick-up and does not allow it to run to the back of the pan and cause drag on the crankshaft. They will hold 7qts of oil plus the how every much the filter holds and will use the stock dipstick.

There are trap doors in the sides of the front sump also so the pan can be used for road racing applications. IMG_8928.jpeg

The oil pan kits will include oil pan, pick-up tube and o-ring, windage tray and gaskets. These pan kits will sell retail for $840.00 when they start showing up at Summit and other retail outlets. I have 10 pan kits being shipped to me next week if anyone is interested in one they can PM me here for more information or a price quote.

It does, but not much, front sump is wider. Here are a couple pictures during the build process compared to the stock pan. IMG_9019.jpeg IMG_9018.png

would also like to see a pic of it installed on the car if possible. Please tell me the pickup can come off easily without having to snake through the windshield trey. Huge draw back with the stock one

Let me see if I can get one of it next to a stock pan from the front. I am headed to Las Vegas for MATS today so it may be next week before I can get you a picture of it. I will get you some pictures of it on the car.

Pickup only goes through the windage tray on the sump end so that is not a big deal on installing it.

No worries, appreciate it! Also, i see it has 2 gaskets? 1 for pan to windage tray and 1 for tray to block? Do you know what the material is?

One additional question will be…. Will the diaper and/or the oil containment tray now available fit? The cars that need the oil control these are providing, need those too. 👍🏼

the gasket material is proprietary to Mildon but it does not crush or seep oil.

For some reason we did not get any pictures of it on the car. Demonology has a video dropping soon from the install. We are out in Las Vegas at MATS and when we get back to Texas and the car back on the lift I will take some and post them up.

Received the first 10 pan kits from Milodon for the 6.2 Hemi’s. I am waiting on the shipping boxes to arrive next week and these will be ready to ship out, 5 of these kits are already spoken for. IMG_9228.jpeg

Looks great. If these hold 7 QTs I wonder how much the stock pan holds

But weary about not spreading out the transmission load on the oil pan bolts

@Unholy707 they hold 7qts plus the filter.

I have looked at building some braces out of steel tubing, one brace for each side that connects the pan rail to the bell housing. As soon as I can get some free time I will fab a set up.
