Is this true? 2026 Durango RT/392 and Hellcat not available in many states?

Good question.

You had me thinking so I went back and checked through CarGurus list, one by one.
Counting only Dodge specific dealers, near my location there are:
  • 3 within 10 miles
  • 4 within 25 miles
  • 10 within 50 miles
  • 39 within 100 miles

For a new one maybe. But for a used vehicle, I have to be there and see it.

For people living in states where the 2026 DDRT/392 & 2026 DDHC are no longer sold, the price on used one's should hold steady (or maybe even go up?).
Wow! Google says there are 17 dodge dealers in my whole state! lol Used prices will be an interesting thing to follow for sure

That's why I separated California from the other states and mentioned having to jump through hoops there.

Having registered some odd things there I still think it's doable, but if someone on You tube says it's not, who am I to argue such absolute authority?
Steve White motors who is a much respected dealership said the same thing. I don’t care, believe who you want. I’m just saying I kinda doubt it so at least do your due diligence before jumping in.

For me, photos are enough to decide on whether to buy or not ...
Let me tell you a story ...

I only found two used DSRT392's at dealers within a 100 mile radius over the course of a year.

Basic photos of the first one made it appear "ok", but upon personal inspection I found:
  • numerous scratches on both passenger side wheels
  • a mud like substance on the floor behind the 3rd row seats
  • a smear across the top of the driver's side 2nd row seat (looked like snot)
  • a plastic garbage bag wedged between the driver's side exhaust manifold and shock tower
Needless to say, I turned around and left.

Believe you me, I was surprised at the number of dealers too. That's why I had to go back and double check!.

Sorry, but it's too late to change my order to a 392 or Hellcat, and I have absolutely no intentions to move back to California, so I can't (or won't) do my due diligence and prove anything one way or the other.

Besides, a dealership - and especially a respected one - will not suggest doing something that's technically illegal. And a You Tuber will probably do/say whatever it takes to get more clicks.
