My understanding is Commiefornia's CARB banned/blocked the 392 & Hellcat engines (not sure why exactly) and all the blue, knee-pad states that signed on & agreed to go with whatever shit CARB barfs up were 'obligated' (since they clearly can't think for themselves) to go along. Stellantis grew a backbone & said F U, we'll make them anyway & sell in the other states.

It's about time this happened !! Why should everyone be stuck with what CARB says ! If I agreed with their shit, I'd be living there but since I'm not, I don't want to be limited by their idiot rules !!

That used to be possible, but there was some 'wait time' or miles driven requirement to keep ppl from doing exactly that.
I'm sure this all stems from their ridiculous EV mandates & dates, which are now pretty much an even bigger, steaming pile of shite than when those rules were passed.

I can't seem to find it right now, but shitbird tavares agreed to a settlement with carb requiring some ridiculous percentage of EV's to be delivered/sold in commief'nfornia for the next several years. so, cdjr is screwed out of any real sales there, and in the calibitch states, unless they get help from the courts or congress

It won't apply to me since I ordered a 5.7, but I doubt there would be any issues registering a 392 or 'Cat from out of state here.

Now, trying to do it in CA would be an entirely different story. It could probably be done, but be about as much hardship as living there.

And I believe that is at the very core of them banning select V8's. All theses manufactures agreed to their insane EV adoption schedule, but are now backing off. Some of the 2035 requirements for ZEV cars are simply not attainable as the public has clearly voted 'NO' with their wallets. Watch what happens when all the Fed subsidies go away the end of Sept. My guess is there will be even more EV's languishing on lots !

An interesting side note is not all the CARB states are fully lock-step with them, some have eased back on the more egregious regs & aggressive target dates.

I thought CARB was cancelled? I didn't research it since we don't even do emissions here in good o'l TN so maybe the YT vids I saw weren't 100% accurate?
