Hello everyone,
I just came out of a Scat Pack 2020 Charger that I dearly loved BUT it sucked in rain snow and never did I ever want to drive it in any kind of conditions other then perfect. It was not a daily driver but my daily is a work truck. So when I wanted to go out anywhere, I used my Scat or my Wife's 2019 AWD Charger.

Anyway I just found this forum and decided to join. I'm in the Charger forum and the Durango Form as well. All my names are mantis or mantis SRT. IMG_9327.jpeg

I know exactly of what you speak.

I've owned 11 Stangs (from a '69 390 Mach 1, to several Fox Body GT's and a number of Coyotes).
But when I got a '14 365 hp AWD Taurus SHO, things started to change. AWD seemed the way to go for consistent acceleration and all weather use.

So I followed the SHO with a '17 325 hp AWD Fusion Sport (ran same high 13's as the SHO), a then a '19 365 hp KIA Stinger GT (13.1's bone stock).
But I wanted more room, so I had a pair of '22 400 hp Explorer ST's. Wanting more hp, I had a dealer install the Ford Performance tune and ran low 13's.

Yet the lack of a powerful V8 (being offered in the Explorer ST) had me looking for something else. Enter my year long search for a used DSRT 392.
And that, as they say, is that!

We had a 2010 Audi S4 which ran 12.6 @110 in the 1/4 mile with just a stage 1 tune and Trans Tune. What a car that was but super high maintence costs so we got rid of it.

I like your car life journey you laid out. The Explorer ST with a little work will get into the 12's all day. When I had my Scat , I raced one at Atco Dragway park and he clocked in a nice 12.7 at like 109 MPH. Pretty damn good for a SUV.

Mustangs I never owned but liked them from a far. I did however rent a 2024 GT convertible when my wife and I went to Tennessee for vacation. I even drove it on "The Tail of the Dragon". It was a fun nice cool car. I would own one if I had some extra money laying around and wanted a fun weekend convertible for the wife and I to enjoy.
