I'm going to take a brief pause from honoring Charlie and tell you what happened the other night ...
I was driving (it was dark out) and I came upon a patch of some light covered stuff on the road.
Didn't look like much to speak of, no road cones warnings to indicate roadwork.
I tried veering around it. Got home, forgot about it.
The next morning I walked up to my vehicle and saw speckles of white paint.
It was on the passenger side, starting from on the front tire and inner wheel well, along the lower rocker panel, on the rear tire and inner wheel well.
Yikes! Spent some time on YT researching a fix, determined Isopropyl Alcohol (IA) was the way to go.
Sprayed some 91% IA and using a rag, it came off without too much work on the body panels (I use a Ceramic detail spray on the vehicle).
The inner wheel wells were a different story. I got most of the noticeable splatters off but the coarser non-smooth surface was making it tough
It's going to take removal of the wheels and a whole lot more elbow grease to get everything out there. So far, I'm happy with what I was able remove.
Ditto for the tires themselves. Got all of the speckled paint off the sidewalls, but removing it from in between the treads is going to be a job and half.
I think I'll just wait until next year when they'll need replacing and leave it at that.
