never saw Max steel in the flesh

My RAM is Max Steel - @MikeD1 is correct - when clean in the sun, those little flecks of color really look good. Overcast - it looks like a dark, drab grey.

It was the lowest produced color in any given model year. I think because it looked like nothing in most pics or if you saw it on an overcast day.
When I went looking for ANYTHING to see in the flesh that had Max Steel, I could only find it on a RAM about 50 miles away.
Good thing for me it was a sunny day when I went to see it

We were looking for that color when we bought the challenger. A dealership on the other side of the state had two that were ordered the same and what we were looking for

Pretty funny, there were 2 on the other side of FL when I was looking but at 2 different dealers. One had the red belts & then there was the one I took with black belts in Vero Beach

I just got a call from the local dealership regarding their 3 allocations. They are taking bids. Currently, according to them, the three top are $175k, $200k and $225k over MSRP. Craziness! I gladly told them I’m out.

I got my order in today with an out of town dealership.

Until they take ownership we really have none

My understanding is we complete the order process Thursday afternoon..they still have almost no info on when it will be built...where in the rotation..(I was under the impression MSRP cars were being built first)...but they have never waivered on the MSRP aspect...nor did they on my last Demon or HC..should know a lot more Thursday..till then ...I wait..

I got my order in today with an out of town dealership.

I'm not sure I believe these numbers these dealers supposedly say they have offered

I haven’t totally bought into it either, but it is Naples, FL. Anything is possible here.

The dealer markups are so nuts and when you consider that the cars have not been built and that no dealer actually owns one, the whole thing is just crazy. We should all just send our order directly to Dodge, offer to pay MSRP, and tell them we are trying to avoid a "price fixing scheme". I know they won't sell to us but at least we can let them know how we feel. Who knows, maybe they will forward the order to a dealer that would actually go for MSRP.

I moved from Naples 3 yrs ago, but I'd absolutely believe any markup suggested. I could never successfully purchase a vehicle from them. Four separate times I went 30 mins up the road to purchase FCA vehicles much less.
I will say the guys in the parts dept are excellent and true Mopar guys willing to help you out in a pinch.
