...I'm really not a city boy..(.9 miles from the City..).I have a unique piece of property..I have an acre of cut grass..(looks like a golf course)..and another 2 acres of woods behind it...so quiet other than an occasional car going by you hear nothing...I have one neighbor next door..(a 60 yr. old widow) that I rarely see...on the other side is 30 acres of land owned by the County water authority..(no one can build there)...I have 4 buildings in my back yard 300ft from the house...now a 3/4 of a miles up the road...is EVERYTHING you could want...2 supermarkets..3 gas stations..an immediacare facility...3 banks...drug store...a Lowes...an automated care wash...5 fast food joints...a bike shop.a Starbucks furniture store...liquor store..a Harley Dealer.a barber shop...a gun dealer..a huge plaza 2 miles down the road...all within walking distance....not the wilderness...but not the City either....I will die on this property ...and yeah we got critters...deer..turkeys...fox...ground hogs...an occasional coyote..ground hogs..squirrels...and even a few snakes...

actually a water reservoir....and by no means a conjested city..no building is over 2 stories...and..the best is...(wait for it)...we get PIZZA delivered to our house..."HOT"...unlike the stale cold kind you get from 36 miles away...
No building with more than two stories, huh? That reminds me of the packed tighter than sardines housing in the San Fernando valley in SoCal.
The vast majority of houses are single story, and there are a couple of reservoirs. And there's pizza. Might be an alternative if you decide to leave your idyllic micro mansion.

Not a micro mansion by any means..(slightly over 2600 sq. ft.).more than big enough for the 2 of us......and I wouldn't move to Cal. for all the money in the world...and BTW...I had to take my wife for blood work this morning..(again 8/10 of a mile from home..)...as I was waitin for her in the parking lot...I looked a bit up the road..and saw the bowling alley I forgot to mention..and a Dentist office...so tell me...what's it like eatin 2 day old pizza...
