My sons clutch is on the way out it's street and sometime track....He's like me the last time replace a clutch was a Muncie 4 speed. So you have to have a clutch, release bearing and sometime the flywheel. So what I'm asking what would be a good clutch that wont break the bank and other than the clutch what else is needed. any help will be greatly apricated.

I haven't done mine yet, but when I do, it will likely be a McLeod RXT 1200, solely based on others experience here on the forum .

McLeod or mantic. @16GoManGoHC2 has a mantic clutch and flywheel for sale right now, just need an HRB. I used a RAM, it was good but you need teflon tape on the HRB fittings or you’ll have a nightmare bleeding it. Also a pain shimming their HRB. Stockcstyle HRB is the way to go, which mantic and McLeod use

Also, anyone else think of Highlander every time you talk about McLeod clutches?

I have a BBG twin disc with aluminum flywheel and HRB I can sell. Needs new friction plates but is otherwise in great shape.
Friction plates are just Miba B10000A which are resold in many places, Ram clutches for one.

BBG is a private label RAM clutch, exactly the same one. Only difference is BBG pre shims/adjusts the HRB for you. Other than that it’s the same clutch, flywheel and HRB, as confirmed by RAM. That’s why I went with theirs, a LOT cheaper and BBG

That's what I suspected, but couldn't find all of the parts available from RAM. Thought maybe the pressure plate was custom. The flywheel, HRB, floater and friction plates I was able to identify in their online catalog.

If your car is not making ungodly HP over stock I'd replace with the 2023 stock clutch.
The 2016 clutch requires much more foot pressure than the late model clutch.
I have both and my mechanic mentioned how much nicer and easier the '23 is to drive than the '16.
and I noticed the 2023 is much easier to push and or hold-in traffic.
Ever get stick in rush-hour traffic and your legs starts wobbling and cramping from holding in the heavy 2016 clutch you'll understand.
My 2c

Fully realizing what it means, I recommend NOT holding your clutch in during traffic, this is hell on your throwout bearing life.

Yes, in/out, gear, in/out, no gear, rinse/repeat...

Try not to let everyone see your left calf muscle size difference.

I don't find the clutch on my '16 to be stiff at all, and I'm a skinny 72-year-old.

I always pop it into neutral @ a stop....and being a CDL-A driver for so many years...I don't find my M6 to be cumbersome @ all

I wish. Just hoofed around Niagra Falls for three days. Most all of it uphill and downhill. Shin splints.

Might have worked for my wife, son, and daughter in law, but the grandkids are incredibly picky eaters. (Love ‘em to death, though.) ;)

yeah after driving for several weeks my clutch is stiff.....when I walk I find that find my left legs trying to outrun the right and I'm also pushing 70 the m6 is my sons car mine is a a8. I run his at the track sometime and help him understand I may be pushing 70 but I can catch the gear like a 25yr old. I'm hoping his will be in the mid 10's with the new clutch
