Most likely trees, a rockface, or the bottom of a slope.

All my vehicles are subject to Newton's Law, so if I enter a curve even at only 100 mph (which comes quickly at nearly full throttle) that the car is capable of doing 60 mph through, something has to give.

By now you really should know that straight roads are as common as stoplights and EVs around here. Okay, there are a select few places where getting up to 160 or so is doable, but those are the exception.
Is it that perilous.....or...(wait for it:giggle::giggle::giggle:)...are you growing a Vagina..:oops::oops:;)

This isn't some Godforsaken corner of New York, or somewhere in Kansas or Florida, pal.

There are hills here in the Rockies and the roads have to conform to the terrain accordingly by being curvy. Yet many are still quite steep. Sure, you can usually double the speed through the ones with 10, 15, 35, or 45 mph signs, but there are still physical limits to what a car can do.

Maybe you have roundabouts over there, which could be seen as a very condensed version of a curvy road. If so, try going through one at 100 or so. On the positive side, when you fail you might end up in a hair salon, which is much better than a 500' sheer drop off.

Yeah, with you driving. But imagine an elderly New Yorker used to going straight between stoplights trying it.

Hate to interrupt, I have a comment on the orig topic, :)

Yesterday I noticed that the S2 in Street Mode, holds 7th at 65, I had to manually shift it into 8th. No wonder the mileage sucks! But at $10/gal, who cares!!!! :ROFLMAO:

Why does anyone actually care? The way they're meant to be driven is completely counter to the very concept of fuel economy.

Not a 392, but a hellcat redeye with 1000+ horsepower and I did clip just over 20 MPG on a long road trip from NH to PA earlier this year. Actually pretty incredible.

I care because I hate stopping, so the farther I can go without having to stop for gas the better.

Yes, I could improve the distance/fuel economy by quite a bit by driving more slowly, but what's the fun in doing that?

I just made the exact same trip that I made in the Power Wagon (that got 13.3mpg) in our DSRT and got 18.8mpg round trip average.

If you care, that was with 3 adults, 2 kids and packed with luggage too. Averaged 85mph for the trip. The truck was just me.

I usually get between 10 and 11 mpg with the Ram, but even if I manage 24 in the Durango it'll be worse for me. That's because the Ram holds 110 gallons and the Durango a measly 24.6.

If only the Challenger had a 25 to 35 gallon capacity it'd be the great GT car it could be.

With the right gearing the 6.2 can do pretty good. I can get 25-30+MPG @ 70-80mph in mine now with non-factory gear ratios.

Two summers ago..hauled a 20ft enclosed MC trailer with a custom golf cart in the back from Lauderdale to buffalo..non stop...80/85 all the way back...got maybe 7.5 /8..foot glued to the floor most the time

Proof that a small engine can use more fuel than the real thing when asked to do something beyond a commute, a Home Depot visit, or to get a latte. But I already knew that after pulling a 16' enclosed trailer with an F-150 Ecoboost and getting much worse mileage than with my 5.7 Ram 2500.

My 10-11 mpg are from towing between 8K and 25K, and at as close to 80 mph as the terrain and curves allow. Also, keep in mind that my 3500 weighs over 9,500 by itself.

Between 7.5 and 8 mpg was what I got with my Pete 359, usually at a combined 33K lbs. And if you think that a little enclosed trailer has bad aerodynamics...
