SRT Performance Division

"Don't forget our most important asset, the people, the SRT family, our mad scientists, and the rolling laboratories that make all of this possible. So no matter where performance takes us next, whether it's powered by a Hemi V8, hurricane twin turbo, big huge electric motors that have 100% torque at zero RPM, or some combination of all that, we're going to keep doing what SRT has always done. We're going to engineer smarter, act faster, push harder, and keep chasing that ever elusive last 10th."

I caught that too !

Both Whipple & Procharger make kits for the 392 ('18 + MY's). they are a good deal if there is a shop near you that you trust would do the install correctly.

392 has glass pistons unless it's been updated. 5-6psi is on the edge.

I agree. But we heard it. Maybe they do a slight change in design?

Look up the DC charts for the Rumble Bee. I also wondered about adding that much power to a 392. And with a Whipple.

"Every Rumble Bee truck now offers a supercharger kit, one centered around Direct Connection’s 3.0-liter twin-screw blower regardless of the V-8 under the hood. Ram says the setup will boost the 5.7-liter trucks up to around 600 horsepower, while the 6.4-liter models should land at over 700 hp. The SRT model’s 6.2-liter Hellcat sees its 2.4-liter supercharger swapped for the larger unit, which Ram says should result in over 900 hp."

I’ve always heard the ring lands were too thin to handle over 6lbs.

I like the 5.7 version.:p That old Grand is ticking too loud for my ear. Rest of the car looks, drives and feels great. Wife loves that thing. @Hunter you have met her. Would she notice 200 hp? Let’s see, new Grand is more than $100k, this one is free now and just needs its little 5.7 wrenched up a bit.

The 5.7 has been great. Only nuance was replacing the water pump several times.

Also impressed with the hurricane on the standard output Wagoneer.

However, I would really like to see a Hemi V8 + E-boost air + Twin Turbo in a future Copperhead or 'Cuda setup.

If she is driving, I think the 5.7 with 375 is great when you want to step on it, but gets a lot better gas mileage. And if it isn't, a little tinkering would work.

She loves it so much, she has been very receptive to taking it in and having some “remedial” work done. Seriously I probably will not go the S/C route but I am seriously thinking of doing a heads and up rebuild. That thing allows us to save the other vehicles during bad weather. A Grand Cherokee is flat the best thing in the snow or slick period.

Staying with the thread, I will certainly be looking at what DC has available for a 5.7 soon. I’ll leave my 392 as it is and maybe just tune it. It runs and sounds so well, I do not want to disturb it. 18-22 MPG depending on the wind, I’m not complaining either.

REDEYE? :sneaky: We already fixed that little problem. A Demon engine was NEVER designed to go road course laps and not just a ten second pull.

Was going to say "Pettys Garage", but they permanently closed last year.

Wow Pettys Garage closed?

Trickle down effects of the cancellation of the Hemi V8.

My 09 M6 build was based off one of their designs with the 6.0L stroker and supercharger.

Met Richard Petty in the hallway touring their facilities.

They were big sponsors of ChallengerFest for several years as well.

Only way I'd ever use a whipple is if they had a million mile warranty
