Yes, Hellcat had there own class up until 2019 as I recall. I had the A8 hellcat world record for a number of years at 8.79 @ 156. That was in the late 2017, ancient history now the A8 world record is 7.7 or so.

I run with Epling, he is a good friend. He ran 8.68 in his manual and I ran 8.79 in Kentucky. I am a racer, EV stuff is for commuting.

Mine is tuned with different things done to it. I just don't have the energy anymore. It's a lot of work.

I understand, when I would meet up with Epling and Phasthemi, it was a 14 hour drive to Kentucky, then all the racing stuff that is needed which is a shit load of work, then load up and drive home. I used to drive thru the night to get home.

The closer the car is to stock the less work is needed. Maybe get it closer to stock to reduce the work?

That is the allure of the Demon170, take it off the trailer, warm it up, check tire pressure and run it.

Okay, not really, but it is fun to see the estimated time of arrival get beat by up to 40%. Curvy roads are what I like, and the occasional 60-120 spurt just for kicks. Where the road's straight enough to allow it.

Have "raced" another vehicle with the 'Cat once. That was a pickup, on a bit of a grade (for around here, a mountain in Florida) with a passing lane that the pickup's driver didn't want to get out of.

Sounds like you had a ball. That is the addiction of the supercharged V8 Mopar, so much fun

I always buy what I want within reason. The deal needs to be right whatever that is at that moment.

Plenty of oil available. It's a renewable energy source. Always has been.
