Speaking of Dick trickle charger...debating on hooking mine up while it sits for 2 weeks.

While I don't think it will hurt to hook it up, mine goes 2 weeks all the time without issue, at 4 weeks it occasionally gets a bit slow to start.

If I knowingly was going to go beyond that, I would hook it up.

Thanks Bull. Have done 2 weeks before with no issues...but battery is 3 years old and some have replaced battery at this time. Didn't want to come back to a dead battery. Probably overthinking things as usual.

If I know I'm "putting it away", I make sure that I don't start it and then immediately turn it off (not giving it a chance to fully recharge from the start).

So in other words, I start it, it runs for a minimum of ~15min, I move it to its nest, then shut it down.

No quick starts, short moves, and then shutting it down.

My 3rd battery in 3 years,,, dealership told me to start the car every day to keep the battery in check. With my mild sence of humor, I told them that it will be back with another dead battery cause I ain't going to start the car every day. Well, the Florida sun takes it out of the battery. Well hell, jurk off, it stays in a garage that is conditioned with an insulated garage door with 4 inches of insulation. Beat that said Michael. I have a Nissan that sits in the drive and may not get started for a month with no problem. As fer Dicks Trickle. I am sure he is dead by now. Poor bastard did it to himself. Had a good NASCAR life style.

You got it...always give it a good drive before leaving it for 2+ weeks (which isn't very often). Battery seems good...so will just let it sit and charge battery before I start it up again. Thanks everyone.

That hose sure looks like it could go on that fitting on the LTR tank a bit further?

Yeah I go 2 weeks without a start pretty regular. That's about my max though before I will take it out and run it.

My car sits like that and definitely drains it, killed my 1st battery @ 2 years ! I connected a pigtail w/quick connector to the battery itself and hook it up to the trickle charger if it's going to sit for more than a week. Easier to open/close the trunk than the hood & you can close the trunk lid on the wire when charging. Probably overkill, but I've had no battery issues since.
