I need crew help going to, at and coming home from the track. This is not a 1 man show.

How do I find a couple of people needed to help me out?

I like to run events, most which are 2-4 days long in and around Florida with possibly going to Georgia, North Carolina, etc.

I have a Charger that I run in 10.50 and 10.0 index classes. I pull with a diesel Ram and an enclosed trailer. Food, lodging, all fees are paid for. What else should I offer?

Thanks

Well you've covered the expenses, and the experience is worth something, but not everything...

So if you're really looking for someone that doesn't fall into the "Bud Dues" category, then you need to offer up either some cash, or some trade.

Question is, how much?

Again, the experience is worth some part of what happens, so $20/hr?

I know when I've done the Standing Mile events I heavily relied on my buddys for Bud Dues, and there were many, so I'd I had to pay, I'd be poor...

Wife
Brother (and his family)
Daughter (and her family)
Two buddies

Oh, and the dog too...

Sure, I could have done it without anybody, but what's the fun in that?

I've been asking around but haven't found anyone yet. One friend goes with me but he just took a new job that has him covered.

Family has no interest.

I'm not sure about the compensation but I'm willing to pay the right person. Can't do it alone.

go hit the race tracks and make friends. I’ve met allot good people’s at the track. Some I’ve known for years now and if I called them to help out, they would be there.

I mean I’m racing Daytona and he’s the third car in our crew and we got the three of us taking care of each other at the track

Cool! I was wondering because it's right down the street from me.

What event is it?

Need to test and hopefully go to the Street King event at Bradenton on Dec 11th.

Haven't bought a tech card yet.

Yep. I have met some great guys at NMCA Hemi Shootout races that I hang with. Good place to meet people with common interest to help you out

So you are looking for two guys that can meet you at home to load up and go to the races? Do you drive the car during the week and then change wheels and tires to go racing on the weekend or is the car race only? Other than loading and unloading the car (tying it down), checking air pressures, keeping the engine cool, I guess I’m wondering what you need two crew members for? Do you need someone who can turn wrenches or drive you to the track and back ? I saw your trailer. It seems like you are well equipped. Just wondering more specifically why you need the help?

If needed get the drag pack on and in the trailer. Unload and take care of it between rounds (passes), etc. The car is rarely street driven.

I need help because of my messed up neck and back. Plus I'm 65 and don't have the energy that I used to have. That's tough to say.

I can still get up on the wheel. A lot of people get surprised.

Go to some local mod shops. I know my guy in Stuart when they weren’t so busy, they had customers that paid them and they basically had the car prepped for them, brought to the track. The customers fly in or drive in from out of town, they show up at the track, rip on their car, they leave and go home and the shop takes care of the car and storing, wrenching etc.

Might be what your looking for. That would be the professional route.

otherwise make friends, offer plenty of beer, time away from their wives, and tasty food. Chance to hang around race cars, Plenty of dudes would be down for that.
