See previous discussion on dealer protecting laws state to state. they have a huge lobby and lots of power.

I've always thought the independent dealer model as implemented was pretty poor actually.

but not for the better...
I have a tendency to agree with you...but then I believe that sentiment is akin to the lament of the American cowboy with the demise of the horse...

With apologies to Dr. Seuss ..................

I do not like these cars called Ford
Their new E line-up leaves me bored

Their quality really sucks
Yet they charge major bucks

Their warranty service leaves me appalled
Their crappy cars should be recalled

I will not visit their websites
Even there the product bites

I will not buy them on a lot
Or even wearing an ascot

I will not buy them from a dude
Or even a woman in the nude

I will never buy another Ford
Better products I can afford !

Ehhh, I have noticed the same out of all 3. Ford has its issues, "cdjr" has their own, and GM has their own.

I will say this after owning german cars specifically the M cars and Amg cars, the build quality is garbage on these cars.

Comparing the hellcat to the trx its apparent dodge doesn't fkn care about the outgoing models.

The small touches like suede, stiching, carbon fiber on the trx is insane compared to the hellcat. Don't get me started on tech, but nonetheless Good job ram.

On the other note, why stellantis doesn't offer auto hold or massaging seats on their 80k+ cars is ridiculous, ford does, but then ford doesn't offer heads up display on their vehicles, on the other hand why stellantis has analog speedometers on their newer models is a bit bizarre to me..... The point is they all have pluses and misuses.

After owning flagship vehicles from multiple brands I still haven't found the perfect car and I probably never will.

Agreed.

My Benz had a certain electrical issue that the dealer never could fix (there's no code)......so they just kept shotgunning the same part in and after the 4th one I told them to "find" the problem. Of course...they couldn't. And after the 8th time of replacing the same part and telling me that the car was about to be out of warranty, and that I would have to pay out of pocket for future repairs, I told them "watch and see".

I called Mercedes Lack of Customer Service Dept. and got nowhere, so I fixed the problem myself......by trading the car in.

My 2014 Ram had electrical problems too. Fixed that problem the same way after 7 times to the dealership and shotgunning the same part over and over.

My Challenger kept getting that Uconnect death screen. There's another one that I "fixed" after several times.

We used to drive nothing but Mercedes. They're just junk now and have been for about 15 years. BMW the same thing. One and done. We lemon lawed a Cadillac in 2016. They were horrible and tried to scam us with nonexistent offers and trades. Same thing with Isuzu back around 2000. Defective antilock brakes that they couldn't fix. Lemon lawed that pos also. Pontiac in 1989. Junk. Traded, took a huge hit.
It's a roll of the die.

The only way to win these days by getting a new car and dumping it after the warranty is done. One of the major reasons I jumped to leasing.

Yeah, the cars are better, faster and more luxurious yet they seem to have new issues.

I'll always go down as saying German cars are 15 years ahead of everyone else but they also have 15 years in the future levels of problems too lol.

We were leasing for tax reasons. Not anymore since we plan on keeping our current Mopars for a while.

I always wondered why used Benz's were cheap.

Now I know, especially if they are out of warranty.

I always bought used ones. 5-7 years old with really low miles. We have a local Mercedes specialist who is very reasonable but the later models are to expensive to keep.
