About how many good passes should I expect from a pair of 305/45R17 MT ET Street R's in a RE doing 1/4mi? Sorry for the novice question, thanks.

It depends on how you use them. Huge burnouts, not long.

It will depend on if you use them only at the track or if you drive on the street a lot with them. Also the longer burnouts will wear them out fast. When it's hot out and good prep at the track, you don't need as long of a burnout. When it's cold and the track is cold is when you may need a longer burnout. Try to do no more of a burnout than is necessary. This will depend on your power level also. The more power you have, the more of a burnout that is needed possibly.
But I normally get 1 > 1.5 years out of mine, depending on how many times I get to the track.

Probably 40-50 or so depends on burn out.

Thanks, I didn't put together that a longer burnout was necessary on cold days when the air is probably better. It would only be at the track, I live 15mi away. I'm guessing from watching others that most of the wear is warming up the tires. So about how many runs does 1-1.5y translate to?
