Wonder where they were able to get a brand new D170 engine?🤔 I’m sure these things are pretty hard to come by and I’m guessing they would require a VIN to a D170.

Guessing it was a spare motor from dodge. He sent the demon back and asked for an engine instead? My best guess...🤷‍♂️

Dodge will sell you the D170 engine.

Nothing (important) on the 170 is going to be reserved to 170 owners like the 2018 was.
The 2018 Demon ushered in the next gen of Hellcats. Redeyes/Super Stocks/1320s/Super Bee and widebody variants.
This Demon is the end of the line. To get approval, they had to bake up sales via Direct Connection. Notice how a lot of parts have the DC logo on them.
