I've noticed lately that once the brakes get warm in our Durango the brakes shutter real bad when applied. I see indications of heat or abnormal wear. Anyone else experience this?

Have you tried a bedding procedure?

Haven't experienced this, myself.

25K miles on my '18 and I've never had an issue like that. I do feel that they are under powered (sized?) for the car. Been looking into replacing them with the PowerStop Z36 rotors & pads. I've noticed a number of ppl have installed the SRT brakes on the R/T's, but that can get pricey + you will have to change the wheels & tires to clear the calipers and the OE spare needs to be swapped as well.

Sounds like the pads & rotors may have gotten glazed ??

Well it's got 10k on it so that procedure may not work but, I can try.

Not on the DSRT, but I am seeing some minor rotor wear after ~25k miles

@Paladin06 do you have the Brembo Brake option, on that one?

May just have to service the sliders, they could be seizing up and stopping the caliper from centering and applying evenly to the inside and out, as well as not releasing like it should.

Yeah it’s under warranty so I’ll let the dealership do that and thanks.

Yes. Momma did not want Hellcat.
That's why mine has a Scat Pack but she usually drives the Ram diesel.
