I have a DSS 1 piece aluminum shaft with the cv joint on both ends. Lately when i put in in gear and or move, I hear a couple of pings like someone tapped lightly on the shaft. Looking at it on the rack the rear appears to be tight but the front seems to have some movement. I'm not able to reproduce the sound in the air other than tapping on the shaft, Rotating the shaft, i see no damage.
Anyone else heard of this?

@redraptor Maybe it is this. Look at both ends, especially Top end and see if the exhaust could be tapping on the driveshaft. You may not see the problem right away.

It happened to me on top end of the track going 135 MPH the tapping sliced right through the AL DS. It was really weird too, as I drove down the return road and around to pits, then I heard the broken part spinning and hitting the ground.

That's where I learned that pulling fuse #40 to shut my Hellcat down.
