The Barton shifter is the first thing I'd do, it removes the slop and makes the manual feel way better. A catch can and splash guards are smart for preservation, and 305s on 10.5 wheels out back will hook up way better without going crazy. Since it's garage kept, a float charger is a good move too. Have you driven it enough to know if the shifter feel bothers you or are you leaning toward wheels and tires first?
