Agree. Look at any of my pictures using my chrome street wheels. Like he says, maybe, sometimes, rarely, potentially you may be able to wipe nearly any dust away.
I have never seen any, but maybe sometime if I would bed them in twice and beat the shit out of them, some little dust or something may appear.

Is it necessary to install a "rear differential bracket" on a 717-horsepower Hellcat? I've seen someone install a J&L oil separator—could you briefly explain what this component does? ![[wrenchin]](/images/smilies/icon_smile_wrenchin.gif "Wrenchin [wrenchin]")
That bracket reinforces the rear independent differential during the launch on a prepped launch area of a drag strip, regardless of hp.
So unless you're going to launch hard for drag racing, it is not a requirement.
If you were going to do some hard launches on the street, it's something you could consider as an insurance policy against damage.
What it does is prevent the differential from twisting too much.
This was a "normal" launch during a Standing Mile on my car, this video was actually focused on the haft shaft, but the bracket can be seen in the background, and this is also a first generation bracket as well.

The oil separators are intended to remove additional oil that would normally get recirculated into the air intake. This is part of the emissions but is problematic for a number of different reasons, therefore they are a recommended part by the performance community.
They will keep your intake a little cleaner and on some level prevent detonation from oil vapor occurring, which is a good thing.
Bottom line, put a quality unit on your car, the type that mounts over on the passenger side inner fender tend to run cooler and therefore work a bit better, but they are slightly more difficult to route lines to and from, so there is a tradeoff there.

Speaking of, now that I put the one year older OE tires back on the car I took some measurements on the Indy 500s that had been on there for a bit over 5,000 miles.
Not surprisingly, the most wear was on the right front's outer shoulder. Even with a healthy 1.7 degree camber it had almost 50% more wear than the inner shoulder, which wasn't much better than that center of the thread.
Meanwhile the right rear (with much less camber) had very close numbers for shoulder wear side to side, and the center was the least worn with about 2/3 of the original tread depth left. Which the front also had.
It's almost as if I spend less time stomping on it at stoplights than I do going fast through curves.
