LOL only Dodge would be excited about re-launching a 10+ year old product. I mean they couldn't update/upgrade this combo?!?

Sad that a Hemi is not the Ram's top hp engine. :unsure::rolleyes:
Does anyine know if the new engines run as the dyno suggests? I rented one of them and drove it from Denver to the mountains. I have driven several 5.7’s and my 6.4 up there. While it does not begin to compare to the 6.4, my pants seat says those new six cylinder things just don’t have the power they say they do.

I agree! I was hoping to provoke some discussion like this. Plus this site needs some automotive talk.

If the mileage standards are going to diminish then it sure seems like a nice package could at least contain an “old” 392, huh?

And they're seriously calling the new badge (trucks won't say Hemi) the "Symbol Of Protest".

*Interesting to note C&D got 14 mpg observed with the 3.0L Hurricane vs. 17 mpg observed with the Hemi. Ouch!
But the Hemi only got to go in 60 mph in 6.4 sec and the 1/4 in 14.9 sec @ 94 mph, so there's that.

My driving is about a 50/50 mix of highway and surface streets and I routinely get 19-20 MPG with my 5.7 Which, at 395 HP, is more than enough engine.

My friend got a hurricane. Way faster than the 5.7. Hard to believe but them turbos spool and that truck plants you back in the seat. I was really impressed, but it's still a 6 cylinder

That right there is their problem. We all 110% agree. Not going to give them $90k for a pick’em up truck. If I ever want one an old used one will work just fine.

Heard the 5.7 hemi is coming to all trucks. And also heard alot of 426 hemis sitting around. They gotta be doing something. But it won't be cheap. Nothing is.

I ordered a 22 Ram from Koons for a fantastic price, it came in with eTorque. I passed.

I'll pass on all eTorque crap.

And you have to pay more for it if the truck you were getting was coming with the less powerful Hurricane
