Hello everyone,

Yesterday while driving, I noticed that the steering wheel angles when turning left and right to full lock are asymmetrical. Is this normal? (Could it be related to the Ackermann steering geometry?)

Additionally, my car consistently pulls to the left after driving for a while (I have to slightly steer to the right to maintain a straight line). This issue has been recurring frequently:
- Vehicle purchased: December 24, 2024
- First pull observed: January 5, 2025
- Alignment performed: March 16, 2025
- Pull reoccurred: May 3, 2025
- Alignment performed again: May 17, 2025
- Pull reoccurred again: May 25, 2025

The suspension hasn’t suffered any severe impacts. Should I have the steering components inspected? Are there any reference cases for this kind of issue? Thank you!

I have never paid attention to that before.

I guess it's super rare for me to drive, even slowly, at full steering lock.

Because of my brake rotor company, I'm often pulling my calipers off for various reasons, and because of that, I'm at full lock during that effort, but I've not ever paid attention to the wheel while doing it.

I also noticed this while trying to diagnose the pulling issue. During normal driving, the steering wheel rarely reaches full lock. I even tested my E66 and found its steering angles are asymmetric too, but the Land Rover's steering angles are symmetrical.

Mine's tucked away at the moment or I would check mine under the same conditions as you are asking about, but I can't get to it right now.

Maybe someone who daily drives theirs will see this and help out with a comparison?
